Dr. Thomas Braun takes great pride and care in treating his patients. He has strong ties to his community and prides himself on giving back to the community. Dr. Braun grew up downstate and he has been practicing in the local area since 1990. He spends time working at the Will Grundy Free Clinic and is also involved in several local study clubs.

Dr. Braun attended the University of Illinois, where he completed his graduate degree. He became a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1985, and he then went on to get his Masters in Histology and Certificate in Periodontics in 1988. Histology is the microscopic study of tissues, how they form, their structure and their function.

He believes strongly in continuing education to ensure he can offer you the latest treatment options. Dr. Braun has done many courses on implants, including several with top experts in the country. He prides himself on maintaining the highest standards, and works to uphold the highest standard of care in placing dental implants. To him, the greatest compliment a patient can give is "I can't even tell the dental implant is there."

Dr. Braun places great importance on patient care and comfort. He takes great care to ensure that you are relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Braun stresses patient education, and he will work to make sure you fully understand your treatment options. He prides himself on offering alternatives and answering your questions in a calm, non-pressured environment. Both he and his staff are concerned and compassionate about your well-being. They will address any concerns or anxiety you have about your treatment.

Dr. Braun was a clinical instructor in the periodontal undergraduate program at the University of Illinois at Chicago from 1988-1993. He continues to be involved in study clubs and other educational activities in the area.
